Guided Wave Technology has since 1995 been based north of Copenhagen, Denmark. The staff has background in theoretical and applied electromagnetic engineering, followed by 15+ years of employment in university research-labs and in the commercial cellular base station- and satellite terminal industry. Guided Wave Technology’s customers include government, industrial and military - world-wide.

Field of business – consulting, production + filter design software development!

The core business of Guided Wave Technology is consulting services, design, development and production (in both low and high volume) of all types of RF and microwave passive circuits, couplers, combiners and dividers, filters, including duplexers, multiplexers and other passive sub-systems, operating anywhere in the region from below 500 MHz to above 40 GHz.

We also develop and sell filter design software tools.

Design capabilities – advanced electromagnetics adopted in real-world products!

Our design tools include commercial state-of-the-art electromagnetic solvers and specialized company proprietary software - developed and improved over nearly two decades by our engineering staff. These advanced tools enable first-pass success, often requiring no trimming, and hence very cost effective solutions, with rapid prototyping available. Software samples are available on our website as free online ‘calculators’. This software is used extensively every day by a large number of returning users, who have realized that nothing else on the Internet matches it in accuracy, ease-of-use and very wide functionality.

Technologies!

Products may be implemented using a very wide range of technologies, for e.g. filters including these:

  • Waveguide filters incl. E-plane (finline) & Iris filters, Combline and Interdigital filters
  • Dielectric resonator filters
  • Coaxial filters (with e.g. Butterworth, Chebychev, Bessel or Zolotarev characteristics)
  • Cavity filters (including dielectric resonator-based)
  • Planar filters and couplers etc.: Microstrip, stripline, coplanar waveguide, suspended stripline
  • Waveguide components (couplers, junctions etc.)
  • More advanced filters (e.g. waffle iron lowpass), duplexers, multiplexers

Custom design capabilities – from low RF to millimeter waves!

Our speciality is non-standard passive filters and filter assemblies ranging in frequency from below 0.5 to above 40 GHz. Occasionally however we design filters or other components for higher frequencies. In-house measurement capabilities go to 40 GHz, but we have access to vector network analyzers up to 60/110 GHz through cooperation with the Technical University of Denmark.

Consulting services – exact designs available on a day-to-day basis!

Often a pre-study is an affordable starting point before taking decision about initiating development of a complex prototype.

Through a pre-study carried out by Guided Wave Technology different concepts can be evaluated or exact e.g. filter characteristics can be determined through full-wave electromagnetic simulations.

From our returning customers we have learned that we are considered to be very responsive and are appreciated for our innovative filter solutions and on-time delivery.
